Definitions
Perimeter - the sum of the side lengths of a figure
Area - the number of nonoverlapping square units of a given size that exactly cover the figure
Base - can be any side of a triangle
Height - the segment from a vertex that forms a right angle with a line containing the base
Diameter - segment that passes through the center of the circle and whose endpoints are on the circle
Radius - segment whose endpoints are the center of the circle and a point on the circle
Circumference - the distance around a circle
Pi - ration of a circles circumference to its diameter
Formulas:
The equation to find the circumference of a circle: 2(pi)r
Equation for the area of a circle: (pi)r²
Area of a triangle: (1/2)bh
